Fairy Princess
My favorite little dumplin’ turned four today. We have truly been blessed to have Kaitlyn as our daughter. She is always happy and is such a loving girl. I cannot believe she’s growing up so fast. Next year she will be starting into Kindergarten.
We spent the day doing whatever Kait wanted (that’s what b-days are for, right?) We had a picnic lunch by the waterfall on BYU campus, watched Beauty and the Beast, had a spaghetti dinner and finished the day off by opening a few presents and playing at the park.
Kait received the ideal “girl” book. ‘The Very Fairy Princess’ and has already requested fairy wings and a crown to complete her fairy princess ‘tude.
We are having a bigger combined birthday party with Kait’s cousin, Haddie, so stay tuned for more fun pics!

How low can you go?
The past three weeks have been a whirlwind with TJ’s brother, Cory, leaving on a mission to New Zealand and TJ’s other brother, Marcus returning home from a mission to Taiwan.
Every year we go to Delta to celebrate Cindy and TJ’s birthdays since they’re only three days apart. We have a big luau, throw our backs out by attempting to do the limbo and build a giant bonfire in TJ’s parent’s backyard. It’s the weekend everyone looks forward to as the summer comes to a close.
TJ turned 30 on Sunday. He’s the best father and husband. He’s so laid back and patient. He’s also one of the most caring, loving people. My life has been blessed with being able to marry him and start a family of our own. I love you hun!

Road Trippin’
We ventured down to Las Vegas to witness the blessing of Amy and Joe’s baby, Lucy. It was a great day. People can have all the money in the world to spend, but they don’t know the true meaning of happiness until they have close family relationships. Nothing is greater than having a happy family.
Kait really enjoyed swimming with Joe’s niece, Kami. The two girls were inseparable.

Baby Love
I took a quick trip to Vegas to meet this sweet gal (my new niece). Kaitlyn has dubbed her “Baby Love”.
She is the cutest little thing and she slept pretty much the whole time. We spent most of the weekend soaking up the Vegas sun and visiting. The perfect weekend!
Mom, dad and baby are all doing well. Hopefully Amy will post some more pics. and details on her blog (hint hint).
TJ took the kids up to Yellowstone with his family. They had all sorts of adventures up there. I will try to get some pictures to post.

MAYhem
So, May and August are busy months for us. Logan’s b-day is 10 days away from mine in May and Kaitlyn’s b-day is 10 days away from TJ’s in August. We’ve been having lots of fun partying it up lately.
We celebrated my b-day on Saturday with a picnic at the park. Our families were able to come help us celebrate and good fun was had by all.
Dontcha just love the candle placement on this cake?
We take our eating very seriously:
And our hugging:
Friday night TJ took me out to Red Lobster for dinner and then to Farr’s (build your own ice cream sundae, which means pure heaven) for dessert.
TJ’s mom made Logan a bunch of fun costumes for his birthday, so I had to include a few more shots of my favorite little dude.
It’s Super Logan! Pay no attention to the girl shoes he’s wearing (I had no part in that):

B-day Shenanigans part deux
We had a packed party for Logan on Thursday. Really, we need a bigger house, so we can throw bigger parties!
Look at the excitement on that little face:
Kaitlyn is always so good to help unwrap presents. Sweet of her, eh?
Probably one of the coolest shirts
I had taken Logan to the doctor that morning for his two year check up and some immunizations. Probably not the smartest thing to do the same day of the birthday bash. He had a pretty good fever by the end of the night. He was fine letting Kait open all his presents and he didn’t even want cake at the end.

B-day Shenanigans
Our little Logan turns two today. Man, the years are whizzing by! Since Logan was born on Cinco de Mayo, we considered some Spanish names for him…Pedro, Juan, Maguel…But we liked Logan best. I’m teasin’ about the names…I always loved the name Logan. It’s my dad’s middle name and my dad is an amazing man.
Logan is such a fun boy. He talks non stop and is turning into quite the goofball. He’s also a big sweetheart. He can be sensitive at times, but he is such a loving boy. He also LOVES big trucks and any sort of construction equipment.
Today, for lunch, we went to visit my dad. My dad now drives dump trucks and Logan about wet his pants when he saw “grandpa” come down the street in a big truck. He was screaming, “Big truck! Look! Grandpa!” We followed him to the company’s work site and watched all the cool equipment at work.

Could it be?
TJ's uncle has a bunch of horses and let us take them for a ride. Kait has become quite the horse lover (a girl after my own heart) and did not want to get off the horse. Logan even had a good time riding them too, jabbering away and imitating the horse's sneezes.
Another shot of my little man. He is growing into a car guy...Yet another reason why I love this dude.

Wuz Happenin’
We had a whirlwind weekend with Easter, General Conference and throwing a baby shower for Amy.
We tried to take advantage of the patch of beautiful weather before it got cold again. We love trips to the park! ![]()
General Conference seemed to be extra good this year. All the messages were just what I needed to hear.
Easter was fun! TJ dyed eggs with the kids and the Easter bunny hid the baskets, rang the doorbell and hopped away before Kait could catch him.
My mum helped me throw a surprise baby shower for Amy. She had no clue! It was a successful party and we had a good turnout.
