Thank-you-giving

We decided to bite the bullet and head to Vegas to visit Amy and Joe for Thanksgiving.  TJ’s parents were so nice to let us borrow their van so my parents could travel with us too.  It was a fun little road trip and the kids did great on the long drive.

We over-ate, went to bed late, shopped ‘til we dropped and the guys even squeezed in a little Mario Cart.  Amy (being pregnant and all) and Joe were great hosts and showed us all the fun sights.

Psychedelic!

I just wanted to post some pictures of the end result of our cake making.  It was lots of fun to make and it turned out looking pretty cool!

Short & Sweet

We had a fun Halloween weekend.  Amy and Joe had Friday off due to Nevada Day, so they drove up and spent the weekend partying with us.  We ate tons of junk and stayed up late.  Saturday night we took the kids trick-or-treating to a few houses and then had our annual Halloween dinner.IMG_4301

Rambo

Me and the kids went with Abby and Gichin to their ward Halloween party. I really wanted to dress Logan up as Rambo. TJ’s suction gun worked well as his firearm. He’s ready for battle!

3 Amigos

Our family went up American Fork Canyon with TJ’s sister, Abby, hubby Gichin and daughter, Haddie to take family pictures. We got a few shots of the kids together and I couldn’t help posting my favorite one. Logan has the funniest little facial expressions.

I think he was yawning in these next two…He was over the whole picture taking thing.

Costa Rica Trip

The company TJ works for sends their top distributors on “Great Escape” trips every six months to reward them and motivate them to keep working hard. Anyway, since TJ is the Media Specialist, they send him on these trips to film everything and then turn them into highlight videos. TJ asked if I could join him this last trip…Kind of as a little five year anniversary gift. The company offered to pay for everything for me, excluding my plane ticket. It was an offer I could not refuse. We left for Costa Rica at midnight on Sunday and got there around 11:30 am. I was exhausted since I cannot sleep anywhere other than a bed. But I was so excited once we got there that I could not even think about taking a nap.

Here are some highlights from our trip. Warning: there are a lot of pictures in this post!

The beautiful land…Which was mostly golf courses.

The nasty iguanas that hung around the resort. One even had the audacity to jump on a woman’s plate and eat her whole hamburger! It was pretty funny.

IMG_3966This shot was cool because the butterfly landed on the flower as soon as I snapped the shot and flew off right afterwards.

The luxurious pool right by our room.

IMG_4033 IMG_4049 IMG_4153They had the most delicious food there. My favorite was the Asian restaurant. I swear I gained about ten pounds just from eating while we were there!

My baby is 3!

Kaitlyn’s third birthday was yesterday. I can’t believe she’s already three! Before I know it she’ll be starting school.
We had a family party for her last night and she made a haul in the present department!

A few tidbits about Kaitlyn:

She loves to call people on my cell phone and just chat for hours.

She a great story teller and gets very animated when she tells stories.

She a girly girl who loves clothes, makeup...and cars. Girls can love cars too, ya know (a girl after my own heart)!

She is the happiest girl. Her smile and sparkly eyes light up my day.

Maximum Awesomeness

We went to the Oquirrh Mt. Temple on Friday, which was the last day of the open house. The place was packed with procrastinators like ourselves. We stood in line for a while before we went through...Luckily, I was packing some serious chocolatey goodness in my purse during the wait! In the picture I'm trying to cover Kait's eyes, so she wouldn't be blinded by the sun.

We made the trek to Delta Friday evening and had a good time stuffing Logan's jammies with balls and other random toys. Can you say "ghetto bootay"?!?

Saturday was TJ's birthday and the annual Luau/Bonfire. Unfortunately, I didn't get pics. of the bonfire, but it was big....And hot. You get the picture.

My dad had fun riding on Brooke's cruiser with Kait. Now Kait wants a trycicle...Which she has to remind me every five minutes.

Playing "sardines" swing style:

Cheezin' it for the camera:

This is the awesome drawing my cousin, Mandee did of me and the kids for TJ's birthday. It turned out great. I was so excited to give it to TJ. I didn't even peek beforehand! And that says a lot because I'm usually a bit of a snoop when it comes to presents, even if they're not for me.

Birthday Boy

Happy 29th birthday to the greatest husband and father!

A few tidbits about TJ:
  • He is a soccer nut. His dream is to be a soccer coach and teach computer/multimedia stuff (sorry, I'm not up on the latest terms) at a high school.
  • He can do a mad backflip
  • Every night when he gets home from work he throws the kids onto piles of pillows and swings them around in their blankets, which makes the kids' whole day.
  • He graduated in Multimedia and is the only one in his company that does the media work. He also makes amazing wedding videos.
  • He and his friend, Levi have a little DJ business on the side. They DJ for weddings and school dances
  • He's a great teacher and gets Kait excited about reading our scriptures and saying our prayers.

Studly Sunbather

I just wanted to post some cute pictures of Logan in his "Supa Supe" (that's what I used to call swimsuits when I was little) at my parent's house. Check out that physique! The boy LOVES apples. Every time I open the fridge he'll run into the kitchen, open the drawer, and grab an apple as fast as he can. I guess there are worse foods he could love, eh?

Fun Filled Fourth

I hope you all had a great Independence Day! We spent the long weekend in Delta playing water balloon volleyball, swimming, bike riding, parade going, bbq'ing, firework shooting, and junk food eating!

The cutest old man in the parade

Don't mind my wicked farmer's tan.

God bless all the military troops who are fighting or have fought to give us the freedom we enjoy today! Happy 4th!

Summertime and the living's easy

TJ's company had their annual summer party at Lagoon on Saturday, so TJ and Kaitlyn went while I got ready to throw a surprise birthday party for my dad. I was curious to see how well Kait liked the rides since she was mortified last year, but TJ said she had a great time and wanted to keep going back for more!

Bumper car madness

"Cruisin'"

We had a birthday party for my dad at Kiwanis Park. He thought he and my mom were going to their friend's house for dinner, so he was quite surprised to be stopping at the park. We had a great turnout, the weather was perfect, and my dad had no clue. Thank you to everyone for making the long trips to help us celebrate! We missed Amy and Joe though...Amy's car was having troubles and they had just moved into their new house, so things were a little hectic for them.
